Endeavor Program

School begins at 8:00am and ends at 2:30pm, Monday through Thursday. The Endeavor program offers small class sizes and project-based instruction, with ample opportunities for social activities and student leadership. Learning is highly collaborative and hands-on, with students often taking courses that combine multiple subjects. This program features a community with a strong sense of acceptance.

Academy Program

The Academy Program operates on a cohort model, with students attending school for 2 hours per day, Monday through Thursday. Cohorts are approximately 20 students and learning is split between hands-on instruction at school and independent work completed at home. This program strikes a balance, offering some social interaction and project-based learning, without the stress of too many class, teacher, and peer changes.

Core Program

Students have designated days and times when they meet with the Core advisor, usually for 1-2 hours per week. Students will complete hands-on projects during their scheduled time at school and complete the rest of their coursework independently.

Mascot

The PHOENIX is a legendary symbol of rebirth. It rises from its own ashes and is reborn, symbolizing a person’s undying spirit for life. Like this mythical bird who starts its own fire to end the old and begin anew, the students and staff at Spokane Valley High School work to better themselves by developing habits and characteristics necessary for success.
