School districts use local, voter-approved funding to help pay for the programs and services schools need. On November 3, West Valley and other valley school districts will have two replacement levies on the ballot. These levies help pay for the people, programs, and spaces that support students and staff.
-
Proposition 1: Educational Programs and Operations (EP&O) Levy
-
Proposition 2: Capital Projects Levy for Safety, Security, and Infrastructure Improvements
These are not new taxes. They replace levies approved in 2024 that will expire next year. Tax collection would begin in 2028. The total tax rate is expected to stay at $3.50 for every $1,000 of a property's assessed value.
Together, these two levies help provide students with safe, up-to-date schools and a strong education. They also support West Valley's goals of helping every student belong, achieve, and succeed.
